Donna's Biography
Donna Fujii is an award-winning author of the best-selling color analysis and style book and college text, Color With Style, which is in its 8th printing and 4th language edition. She is one of the foremost authorities on color analysis, beauty and image consulting.
In 1993 the Association of Image Consultants International awarded her the Immie Award.
Since starting her San Francisco-based image consulting business in 1978, she has consulted for thousands of individual clients and trained hundreds of image consultants in 13 countries around the world. Her image consulting work includes consulting for media personalities and news anchors all over the US and for TV stations such as KMEX in Los Angeles, KDTV in San Francisco, KTVW in Phoenix, and WXTV in New York.
She has conducted fashion seminars and book signing events for many major department stores throughout the U.S. and in Asia. Some of her department store clients include Macy's, Robinson/May, Kaufmans, Parisian, Carson Pirie Scott, Boston Stores, Famous Barr, Target/Mervyn. She also served on the Advisory Board for the Sears Circle of Beauty cosmetics line. In addition, she serves on the faculty of the Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute. She also served as contributing editor for Glamour, Redbook, Face, Skin Inc., Takashimaya Men's Magazine and Men's Fashion Magazine of Japan.
Donna has also done extensive consulting in the Asia-Pacific region, providing training, consultations, and seminars for the prestigious Takashimaya and Iwataya Department Stores, and Japan Air Lines' JALPAK Tours. She also introduced her own collection of color-driven neckties under the label Color With Style, and heads her professional image consultant training schools in San Francisco and Tokyo.
Shiseido Cosmetics, for its 150th anniversary celebration, retained Donna to color design its elite Revital makeup line. Following up on her work with Shiseido, she also color designed a makeup line for C’Bon Cosmetics of Tokyo.
Donna also heads her color analysis cosmetics, Donna Fujii Color System, and her nature sensitive skin care, Donna Fujii Skin System.
Donna graduated from California State University San Francisco in 1972 with a AB Degree in Art and Home Economics. In 1973, she also earned a Secondary Teaching Credential at CSU San Francisco.
